| it all depends on what you will use the tractor for. if your running on grass that you want to keep in tacked the turfs would be the best because of any slip in traction the tires wont rip up th grass. if you do alot of driveing on dirt in mud or plowing in the winter ags would be your best bet. both tires work great but it all depends on the aplication its being used for. me personally i would like to run ags but i run my tractors in my backyard alot towing trailors of dirt mulch stone and firewood so i dont want to slip and start ripping up my grass | |

| We're currently using a Hi-Run 23 X 10.50 X 12, from TSC, lug tire on our puller. These seem to work pretty well on ours, though I am trying to find a wider wheel to mount them on. We haven't but the tread at all, just mounted them as they come on the shelf. | |

| those may be a set of 'Pit Bulls' in the background.....some pictures and info can be found at www.byerstractorbarn.com . I think that may be where those are from.

| I have been kind of 50/50 on this subject at the pulls. I belong to 2 different clubs in my area and one club alows you to run cut turf tires and the other you can only use lugs. At the last few pulls the tractor that have been running cut turfs have been running the show! I am going to cut a set of turfs and try them once I get my tractor finshed. Also there cheaper that lugs and I dont have alot of cash to play with right now. | |

On my clay pulling track, if i get good moisture down into the track, the ags. work work better, but if the track get too dry then the turfs work better. a lot of pullers take both with them. later paul | |

| 23x12x12 Ags. Ags are a all around do it all tire, some are better than others. I like mine. I recently cut a old pair of turf tires. Totally dry rotted and would not hold air. Just decided to try it. It was easy to cut them. (Took about a hour ½). I put 6” wheel barrow tubes in them. Why?? that’s what I had available. It remains to be seen if they will hold up under a good pull, Wont know till May 2013. | |
